At the 11:00hrs briefing, it was announced that Race 1 has been cancelled and in view of the Weather forecast, the Lay Day will not be used. It is hoped Race 2 will take place on Saturday and the briefing and timetable will be as per the Race Instructions. Despite the organisers setting a Rough Weather Course, the conditions were not safe enough to rescue people from the water, and so the OOD and the Safety Officer had to cancel Race 1. Friday's Official Practice has been cancelled.
